Jing Jiang is a Master’s candidate in Traditional Chinese Internal Medicine at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and conducts research on obesity-related emotional disorders at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has participated in multiple clinical studies, contributing to subject recruitment, data collection, and analysis, with a focus on the efficacy of acupuncture interventions in obese patients comorbid with anxiety and depression. In parallel, his mechanistic research explores the brain–gut axis, investigating how acupuncture may regulate gut microbiota and their metabolites—particularly short-chain fatty acids—to alleviate neuroinflammation and emotional disturbances, thereby providing a scientific foundation for clinical applications.
